New on the Audio Page for today:

Rocky Warner reviews his 25 win season and looks ahead to 358’s and big blocks for next season.
Jack Patrick offers his thoughts on crate engines in Small Block Supers at Oswego Speedway for 2018.

Another work week is here and it could be a snowy one as winter may finally be here. I know some of you have had a pretty good amount as we saw in the Buffalo Bills game on Sunday. My hats off to the fans who stuck it out till the end. I’m sure there were more than a few long, hot showers taken in the Buffalo area last night.

I got a lot done on Sunday and am a day ahead as I like to be at this time of the year. I have a couple of chats set up for after dinner tonight and will be heading to see a friend tomorrow to go over the footage I shot from the NYS Indoor Championship and figure out how to put that into a short video that I hope to have completed before the end of the year.

Now let’s chat more about what is on the Audio Page for today starting with a Season in Review with a driver who is on the way up! Rocky Warner reviews his 25 win season in a crate Sportsman, wonders why he fell off a little late in the year and looks ahead to full season in 358’s and big blocks in 2018.

Jack Patrick offers his thoughts on crate engines in Small Block Supers at Oswego Speedway for 2018, explains why he won’t be the first to make the switch and why he thinks it will be good in the long run.

J.J. Andrews offers his take on Oswego Speedway’s announcement regarding crate engines in 2018.

I had a good Saturday as I got a lot done and am now a day ahead with interviews which is where I like to be at this time of the year just in case something happens. I’ll be back tomorrow with two more chats so be sure to stop by as we get closer to the holiday season.

After watching some hoops I got busy in the studio and will be doing so today as Sunday is usually a good day to try to hunt down racers. I have an easy week coming up and will get serious on the first project and map that out with hopes of getting it done before the year is finished.

Now let’s chat more about what we have for you on the Audio Page starting out with a young racer who is making quite a name for himself in the business. Mike Maresca talks about his 2017 Modified race season that included racing a three tracks weekly, how he did last weekend indoors and looks ahead to the Tulsa Shootout in three weeks.

J.J. Andrews offers his take on Oswego Speedway’s announcement regarding crate engines in Small Block Supers for 2018 and explains why he thinks the move will work in the long run.

New on the Audio Page for today:

A.J. Kingsley talked about his ten race season and how he is feeling after losing a lot of weight.
Craig Pritchard described what it was like getting back behind the wheel after 15 years off.

We’re back on a Saturday with a couple of nice conversations for you today as we enjoy the first day of the weekend. I got a lot done and was able to set some things up for today and tomorrow so we’re cruising along here just fine.

I’ll be in the studio this afternoon and will watch the SU game later as I usually prefer watching them on the DVR so I can fast forward through commercials and halftime. You just have to stay off Facebook till you watch it as you’ll surely find out lots of stuff about the game if you don’t and I like to go into them cold.

Hope all of you who are at the PRI show in Indy are having a great time. I really need to get out to that show once in my life but with kids to get on busses and all it is tough. One of these days though I will have to find a way and do it.

Now let’s chat more about what we have for you on the Audio Page starting with a man who looks a lot different than he did six months ago…and in a really good way too! A.J. Kingsley talked about his ten race season and how he is feeling after losing a lot of weight and some upgrading they are doing to their Late Model for 2018.

Craig Pritchard described what it was like getting back behind the wheel after 15 years off, how long it took him to get the feel for it again and a nagging issue they had to start the season.

Kevan Cook recalled how he won the Late Championship at Fulton with a win on the last night.
Nick Guererri talked about his one win season, how tough Sportsman are and Weedsport struggles.

Snow is here but fortunately north of us where it can stay for a while as far as I’m concerned. I see big amounts up north and know a lot of you will be getting those snowmobiles out fast so be careful boys and girls.

I got a lot done on Thursday and ended the day with Allie’s concert at the high school. These young people played beautifully and it is amazing to watch her and her friends grow up into fine young men and women. There is a lot to be proud about with her ninth grade classmates. Well done.

We have a pair of Season in Reviews for you today as I was able to sneak those in before the concert. Today I’ll be trying to get a lot done and as always am looking for suggestions from you. Send them to me and I’ll be sure to get the done for you.

New on the Audio Page for today:

Steve Post talks about his appearance at the International Motor Racing Research Center Dec 16th.

I had a busy day as I went through the footage I shot this past weekend and started to figure out how to turn it into something. Originally I was going to use this as part of a bigger project but I can see how monstrous that would be for the first project as I learn digital editing so I think the first video will be from this weekend and we’ll branch out from there.

I only have a small window to get things done today and I do already have something se up for you to listen to tomorrow but am looking for more. Send me an email at doug@dougsdirtdiary.com or message me on Facebook and we’ll figure out how to get your story out.
Only one today as I wanted to make sure you gave it a listen.

I’ve heard Steve Post’s name on many occasions, had heard he was from our area but had never spoken with him before. He took some time from his busy schedule in Indianapolis to chat with me yesterday and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Now let’s chat a little more about that interview on the Audio Page as the off-season begins officially for us here at the Elkins house. Steve Post talks about his appearance at the International Motor Racing Research Center on December 16th and tells me how he knew what he wanted to early in life as well as how he made it happen.
