New on the Audio Page for today:

Matt DeLorenzo talked about his season at Albany Saratoga and a chassis change he made in 2018.
Tony Veneziano tells me about some Sprint Car racing down under and some WoO news for 2019.

What a nice day it was on Wednesday. I got a lot of work done while Allie took advantage of the warmer weather to play some basketball outside with a friend. And it is only gonna get warmer the next few days too. I am totally down with that!

Still doing new stuff for a few days but will probably shut it down this weekend some time and see what the most popular interviews were for this past season. Here are always a few surprises in there and I can’t wait to get that done and take my end of the year vacation.
I’ll be in the studio again today hoping to load up on new stuff so if you have suggestions please fire them off to me so I can get them done before 2019 arrives.

Now let’s chat more about what is new for today on the Audio Page starting with a driver who is coming off of a real nice season at one of the nicer tracks in the New York State. Matt DeLorenzo talked about his winning season at Albany Saratoga, a chassis change he made in 2018 and describes what he is thinking about for next season.

Tony Veneziano tells me about some Sprint Car racing down under, runs down the list of who is heading over there for some big races in late December & January and how the WoO will help victims of the fires in California.

Jimmy Becker remembers 2018 in a Mod and tells me why he only ran an abbreviated schedule.
Matt Smith recaps his weekend at the East Coast Indoor Dirt Nationals and his flip in the E-main.

I had a great day off on Tuesday as Allie and I went to the SU/Buffalo game with our good friend Andy. It is always fun going to the dome to a game regardless of how it went and it was fun to have a day off ahead of a busy end of the week for me.

I got ahead again in the studio so you get an extra bonus track today and am hoping to load up once again in the studio. As always I am looking for ideas so send them to me please as we only have a few more days of new stuff before we do our look back at 2018.

Now let’s chat about the new stiff we have for you on the Audio Page with drivers from all over the place. Lance Willix tells me about his season racing a 358 Modified weekly at Mohawk International Raceway & Utica Rome Speedway and talks about his off season plans as well as where we’ll see him in 2019.

Jimmy Becker remembers 2018 in a Modified primarily at Afton and tells me why he only ran an abbreviated schedule while wondering when he may switch over to being a car owner.

Matt Smith recaps his weekend at the East Coast Indoor Dirt Nationals in Trenton, explains how close he came to making it into the show on Friday and described his event ending flip in the E-main.

Billy Pauch Jr. talks about his second place finish on Saturday at the East Coast Indoor Dirt Nationals.
Brett Altemose tells me about his third place on Saturday and runs down some of his background.
Olivia Coniber remembers her season in a Mini Stock at Genesee and talks about Saturday’s banquet.

I am getting a lot done these last few days and that’s why I was able to add a bonus track today. We have up one person you probably and two more that you may not know so I hope you give all three a listen. And the Brett Altemose interview was a request from Billy Pauch Jr. so you know I got right on that.

I do so enjoy chatting with new people and the fact that they trust me enough to just come on means the world to me…it really does. So if I have not spoken to your favorite or if you are a driver and have never been on the website please message me at doug@dougsdirtdiary.com or shoot me a message on Facebook.

And I got a nice message from a listener that really made my day. I sit here alone in the studio and most of the time have no idea what some of you think about what we're doing here. It was so nice of David to send me a nice message and I really appreciate. Thnak you so much! It made my day.

Now let’s go into more detail on the new stuff you can listen to right now on the Audio Page as we wind down our new stuff for the year. Billy Pauch Jr. talks about his second place finish on Saturday at the East Coast Indoor Dirt Nationals, compared himself to the race winner and described how slick the racetrack was.

Erick Rudolph talks about leading all 50 laps on Saturday to win the East Coast Indoor Dirt Nationals.
Scott Kreutter tells me how he came from the E, D, C and B-mains to a twelfth place finish indoors.

I got alot done on Sunday as most of the people I was trying to get ahold of were available. Or course we’re all over the East Coast Indoor Dirt Nationals and tomorrow we’ll hear from the driver who finished second. I am also working on more too from that so stay tuned.

I’ll be back at it again today and already have a few things set up and a few interviews in the can as well so everything is good here. Not sure how long I’ll go with new stuff but obviously the closer I get to the big holiday the less I like to bug folks so we’ll have to wait and see.

Now let’s chat more about what is new on the Audio Page today beginning with the big winner from New Jersey’s big indoor Micro Sprint race. Erick Rudolph talks about leading all 50 laps on Saturday to win the East Coast Indoor Dirt Nationals, how the qualifying night went on Friday and looks ahead to more indoor races to come.

Scott Kreutter tells me how he came from the E, D, C and B-mains to a twelfth place finish indoors, what went wrong on his qualifying night and how satisfying it was to come through the alphabet soup so well.

New on the Audio Page for today:

Jeff Rockefeller remembered his abbreviated season in 2018 and talked about changes for 2019.
Ben Karlsen talked about his season in a Sportsman and a special design he will use in Florida.

We had a busy day on Saturday and a fun one as well. We started out by going to the SU basketball game to see them take on Old Dominion. We had seats from a friend and boy were they great! The game however did not turn out as we hoped but we still had fun.

After that I got to work in the studio and both the chats you see up today are from Saturday afternoon. I got done just in time to take Allie out for her birthday dinner as she loves going to Chili’s. She brought a friend and we had a great time before relaxing to finish out the evening. Yep, could not have asked for a better day…except for the end result in the game perhaps.

Now let’s chat more about what you can listen to today on the Audio Page starting with a driver who was hard at work in the shop on Saturday. Jeff Rockefeller remembered his abbreviated season in 2018, described how much he enjoyed finishing it out at Eastern States and talked about some big changes for 2019.

Ben Karlsen talked about his season in a Sportsman at Land of Legends, what he learned about where to run on the track and described a special design he will use on his car in Florida to start the year.

We had a nice day on Friday as we went out to DQ for dinner and got Allie’s ice cream cake for today. We’re gong to an SU game at noon today and then I’ll be back in the studio to get some work done before we open gifts and such. It’s gonna be a fun day.

Then on Sunday we plan on being very busy in the studio as we wind down our final days of new stuff for 2018 before we do our best of’s as we always do at the end of the year. So if you have requests or ideas for me to chase please let me know and I will do my best to get them done.

Pete Bicknell goes over the specs on the 2 fire suppressions systems he sells approved by DIRTcar.

I got what I wanted to get done today as both the people on my list were both available. We’ve got another chat with a Sportsman driver who is really set up for 2019 and specifics on the new fire suppression systems mandated by DIRTcar for 2019.

Earlier in the day I headed out to Sauquoit to visit with Claude Hutchings Sr. and have lunch at the local diner in town. Boy do they have great food and Thursday was chicken and biscuit day so I was very happy. Yeah, it was as good as I was told.

Today I will be back in the studio hoping to get more as I have a busy weekend ahead. Be sure to check back as I will also try to get in a few requests as well.
