New on the Audio Page for today:

Gary Tomkins talks about his small block ride for Brockville with car owners Mike & Lori LaSalle.
Derrick Flynn talks about his role on the Dirt Modified Nostalgia Tour and his new rookie driver.

Sunday was fun as we watched some racing and made some fried fish here at the house. My wife loves my fried fish and it came out great. And then after that I got to work in the studio again before getting back to the TV to see how Daytona went.

We’ll be busy today as well as we have a lot to do for another project I am doing but I should be done with that early and able to get in the studio right after that. I have some messages out so hopefully I will hear from them today and make sure we have stuff for you for tomorrow.

Now let’s chat more about what we have for you today on the Audio Page as we begin with good news for a Central New York Modified veteran. Gary Tomkins talks about his small block ride for Brockville with car owners Mike & Lori LaSalle, explains how a solid ride with them last fall helped and compares driving a 358 to a big block.

Derrick Flynn talks about his role on the Dirt Modified Nostalgia Tour, remembers some of his background in racing and how he’ll handle his new rookie driver Allie Elkins.

Billy Van Pelt talks about his indoor ice race on Friday and how the racecars look in the shop now.
Brad Alger explains why we haven’t seen him at the track much recently and what he has planned.

It was a fun day for us as we watched SU basketball get a victory and saw the ARCA race from Daytona. So happy for the race winner and for our own Sean Corr who came home with a nice fifth place finish after starting 20th. Nice run Sean!

I was able to get some interviews in the time between those two events and one of those chats is up for you today to listen to. I will be back at it again today as I am planning on watching the inevitable carnage from Daytona later in the day or possibly tomorrow.

Now let’s chat more about what we have for you on the Audio Page today starting with a man who did something pretty cool two nights ago.  Billy Van Pelt talks about his indoor ice race on Friday, described how the karts drove on the slippery surface and how the racecars look in the shop now.

Brad Alger explains why we haven’t seen him at the track much recently, what he has planned for this coming season and how much work he has to do to get his crate Sportsman ready.

Demetrios Drellos talks about heading to Florida to race at Volusia and his stop in Georgia today.
Sid Harmer Jr. tells me about his season in a Pro Stock and how he started as a teen in field cars.

The weekend is here and what a weekend it will be. NASCAR is busy down at Daytona while the NHRA gets their season started as well. It’s a great time to be a fan and soon every track will be racing and the season will officially be here for all of us. Yay!

I’ll be busy in the studio today and rooting for a couple of our Pro Stock racers in the ARCA race as Sean Corr and John Ferries are each going to be racing at Daytona today. And many of our DIRTcar Modified teams are on their way to Florida for races this week at Volusia. Another Yay!

Jimmy Horton shares some memories of car owner Bill Hewlett and talks about his 2019 race plans.
Tyler Ward remembers his 2018 season primarily at Afton and tells me about an upgrade for 2019.

I had another nice day on Thursday as I got a good deal of work done and got to do some online racing with Allie. They have a track on there this week that is a good trainer for her and she did pretty well. Of course she didn’t beat the old man’s time but it is my game and I have a ton of laps on it. Maybe next time.

I will be back at it again today and looking forward to what should be a fun weekend with a mix of basketball and racing. Soon there will be lots of racing on TV and this weekend NHRA gets back on the tube with action taking place from Pomona. And yes, we will be watching that on Sunday.

Now let’s chat more about what is new for today on the Audio Page as we begin with reaction to some sad news that came out on Wednesday. Jimmy Horton shares some memories of car owner Bill Hewlett and talks about his 2019 race plans as well as his big win at Fonda on TV that made quite an impression on his neighbors.

Tyler Ward remembers his 2018 season primarily at Afton, talks about a problem they had under the hood and tells me about a big upgrade for 2019.

We’re looking for a local race shop to go to Allie and I hope to learn more about the type of cars she will be driving this summer.    New on the Audio Page for today:

Danny Creeden runs down his plans for the 2019 race season that include around seventy starts.
Tony Veneziano reports on the All Stars at Bubba Raceway Park and offers a World of Outlaw preview.

What a day it was on Monday as we topped out at over 60 degrees. We got to get outside and do a few things and Allie even got so shoot some baskets outside for the first time this year. It was a fun day.

I got my work done nice and early and will be able to take today off. I was supposed to be off from bowling but dad is sick with a cold and needs to take a week off. Plus a book that I was expecting finally came on Monday and now I have some extra time to pour myself in it with a goal of finishing it by the week.

This book will help me with my writing as I try to take it up a notch. It’s amazing that I made six figures worth of income writing without any formal instruction except 100 and 200 level English courses. It’s time to fix that and get moving with the next phase of my life. Wish me well.

Now let’s chat more about what we have on the Audio Page for you today starting with a driver who just got over a bit of an illness. Danny Creeden runs down his plans for the 2019 race season that include around seventy starts, tells me how his racecars look right now and the tough luck he had last year.

Tony Veneziano reports on the All Stars at Bubba Raceway Park and offers a World of Outlaw preview that includes some young talent hoping to make a name for themselves on the tour.
