Dean Reynolds talks about the Empire Sprints, the Super DIRTcar Series and being full time in racing.
Gary Palone previews this Saturday night at Paradise Speedway and talks about Wednesday practice.
Ed Lamberton and I talk about racing and his online radio show, Wheel People with Ed Lamberton.

What a beautiful day it was on Thursday huh? And the best news is that it should stay this way all weekend long. How cool is that? So get ready guys and gals for a full race weekend with no distractions.

I'll be at Brewerton Speedway on Friday and then back to Land of Legends on Saturday as we have lots of feature races on tap. It is gonna be fun for sure. Then we'll hit a golf course on Sunday as I did get out to hit some balls last night with my 83 year old dad who is hoping to get back on the links after several seasons off due to a shoulder injury. It's gonna be a great weekend.

Now let's chat more about what is new for today on the Audio Page as we visit with three people who in thier own way help make racing what it is today. Dean Reynolds talks about the Empire Sprints latest Canadian swing, the Super DIRTcar Series and what it is like now that he is working full time in racing.

Gary Palone previews this Saturday night at Paradise Speedway as they have a pair of rainout features to add to the show, tells me how how things have been going this season so far and talks about Wednesday practices.

Ed Lamberton and I talk about racing in the Capitol region, his online radio show, Wheel People with Ed Lamberton and he shares some memories of going to the racetracks as a young boy.

Jimmy Phelps tells me about his Modified win at Brewerton and how he's been doing in Canandaigua.
Claude Hutchings Jr. describes what it is like to have just one race in so far this year at Utica Rome.

It was another rainy day on Wednesday as Mother Nature washed out shows at Albany Saratoga and Paradise Speedways. But the good news is that the weekend should be good as they don't mention ther word on either day. Yay!

Allie and I did some running around and we got some great news on Katie as she has made the travel gymnastics team for Blaze Gymnastics. She has been working hard and will now be on the road competing for points with other clubs here in New York. We are so proud and I look forward to seeing her compete.

Now let's chat more about what we have on the Audio Page for today starting with a man who is enjoying a pretty good season. Billy Pauch Sr. talks about his win at Bridgeport Speedway last Saturday, the unique #30 Modified he drives and comments on a picture showing son and grandson at the racetrack. Nice!

New on the Audio Page for today:

Bobby Varin ran down his Saturday night at Fonda that included his first win an a fitth place finish.
Marc Johnson told me about his Friday night win at Albany Saratoga and going back to setup basics.
Phil Vigneri III talked about his Modified at Canandaigua and The Gladiator at Genesee on June 13th.

It was a rainy day on Tuesday after starting out with bright sunshine in the morning. Two shows are on tap today but both could be affected by the weather. Albany Saratoga runs a rainout makeup show tonight while Paradise Speedway may have already cancelled their GRIT Series race.

I split my time as I did some work before Katie's concert and again afterwards. I've made my plans for the weekend and they include Brewerton on Friday and of course Land of Legends Raceway in Canandaigua on Saturday. Utica Rome is off on Sunday and wouldn't you know it? They are calling for a nice day so I guess I'll go golfing and take a day off after two race nights.

Now let's chat a bit more about what's on the Audio Page for today starting with a couple of drivers who will be at Albany Saratgoa tonight. Bobby Varin ran down his Saturday night at Fonda that included his first win an a fitth place finish, explained how the car changed at the end of each race and looked ahead to a rain out make up show tonight at Albany Saratoga.

Alan Rudalavage describes his two races so far this season and his plans to jump around this year.
Tony Veneziano reports on the World of Outlaws as they raced at a brand new venue in Nashville.

I had a very busy day on Monday as I was in the studio from around 4 p.m. till close to 8:30. I got a lot done and got to som eof your requests too so be sure to keep coming back as we may not have as many this week compared to last week but I've got the people you wanna hear from.

Big Diamond Raceway in Minersville runs a Short Track Super Series race later tonight and Albany Saratoga has a rain out make up show so be sure to check thoseout. Paradise Speedway has a GRIT Series Sportsman race on Wednesday that I will try to attend so we may have more from that later in the week.

New on the Audio Page for today:

Jimmy Horton recaps his last three race starts that included a win, a flip and an 8th place at OCFS.
Billy Dunn talks about Friday night at Can Am, his win at Utica Rome and his Canandaigua starts.
In the latest Doug's Thoughts I talk about what racing has taught Allie and how it helped on Saturday.

Well that didn't go as planned on Sunday at all. Before I went to be early Sunday morning I looked at all the weather forecasts and saw that the rain was going to be out of here before lunch and the rest of the day was going to be rain free. So where did all that rain come from huh? Man.

So I did some work in the studio instead of going to Utica Rome and may now add Paradise Speedway on Wednesday to the mix. They have a GRIT Series race for Sportsman and I think it would be a good time for me to go to check it out.

I'll be in the studio today and already have some things set up as Sunday is just a tough time to get ahold of people. And I do have a couple of interviews in the can which may show up tomorrow too.

Now let's chat in more detail about what we have on the Audio Page for you to listen to as you get your work week started. Jimmy Horton recaps his last three race starts that included his first win at Bridgeport since hgis championship season in 2014, a bad flip on Friday night at Big Diamond and an 8th place Saturday night at Orange County.

Billy Dunn talks about Friday night at Can Am wher he raced his way up to third on a very fast track, his win at Utica Rome last Sunday and how he has been doing in his Canandaigua starts so far this season.

In the latest Doug's Thoughts I talk about what being involved in racing has taught Allie from a non-racing standpoint, remind us why we started doing this in the first place and how it helped her carry herself on Saturday when things didn't go as planned. Yeah, I'm a proud dad alright!

New on the Audio Page from Land of Legends Raceway before the rains came:

Jon Kuleszo and Richard Taggart talks about their wins in the Dirt Modified Noastalgia Tour opener.
Adam DePuy made it four for four at Land of Legends and talked how hard he had to race to get it.
Alysha Baye pulled away to win her 305 Sprint Car heat and told me about changing up her race line.
Erik Karlsen won his second heat race in a row and talked about a bobble he had down in turn one.
Andrew Smith got his first heat race win and told me why he thought the track would smooth out later.
Nick Guererri wins yet another Sportsman heat race and talked about his hopes to be good later on.
Matt Guererri followed his brother's heat win with one of his own and talked about his outside move.
Tyler Vinson spoke about improving so far this season and the need to settle down a little as a driver.

It was another short night in Canandaigua as rain came in right after the Sportsman heat races setting up what should be a show with lots of feature races on tap this coming Saturday. The Dirt Modified Nostalgia Tour was also on hand and with weather on the way they started thier heat races at 5:45 and ran their feature race after the regular divisions finished their hot laps.

It was great to see those cars out there as it is a nice mix of peroid correct cars from the 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's as well as some other cars that have older Modified chassis underneath older bodies. All the cars are cool as heck and we can't wait to see them again on their three day weekend June 14-16th as they visit Penn Can, Five Mile Point and Utica Rome Speedways.

Now since we started earlier than usual and I announced for the club I was not able to get much in the can but hopefully Mother Nature will be nice to us today as I have plans to head out to Utica Rome Speedway in Vernon for some Sunday fun which includes a 100 lap Sportsman race. I'll be there nice and early and will be ready to go once we hit the ground. Look for us there and hopefully we'll have lots of stuff up tomrorow from this race.

Have a great Sunday everyone and count your blessings every day!

New on the Audio Page for today:

Mike Bowman talked his season so far at Thunder Mountain and why it is tough to be one of 2 Mikes.
Ryan Jordan spoke about his two race win streak and his hopes against the STSS regular racers.
Byron Worthing described his three finishes on Saturdays at Thunder Mountain and an engine swap.
Eric Giguere explained how his first race of the season went and why he can't race the track weekly.
Jimmy Grant told me why last Saturday night at Land of Legends Raceway was so special to him.
Brad Steinruck tells me and the crowd some details about his Street Stock as well as how you shift it.

I had a really nice day as I got out for my first round of golf this season. For us golfers it has beena very similar start to the season as wet grounds have kept some courses closed and others are still trying to catch up on mowing and grooming. Luckily the place we went to yesterday is on a hill and drains very well so even though the rough was taller than usual, we still had fun. And I finished two over par on the last four holes. Yay!

We'll be on the road today and headed to Canandaigua as we have the first show of the year for the Dirt Modified Nostalgia Tour. Allie will sit in her ride for the first time today and we'll see if she gets to take any laps or not. She has never drove on dirt and we don't want to overwhelm her today so we'll see how her comfort level is and go from there. We do have a practice session scheduled for Wednesday at Paradise and I'm sure that will help alot. One way or another we will learn today and it will be a blast. Come out and see us!

Now let's chat more about what's on the Audio Page for today featuring three Modified racers who call the same place home on Saturday nights. Mike Bowman talked his season so far at Thunder Mountain and why it is tough to be one of two Mike Bowmans in the racing world and how his wife is doing in her secons season in a Sportsman.

Ryan Jordan spoke about his two race win streak in regular Saturday night competition at Thunder Mountain, and his hopes against the STSS regulars and wonders if his crew will ever let him change engines.

Byron Worthing described his three finishes on Saturdays at Thunder Mountain, how they are adjusting to a big block engine and explained how tough they are to get slowed down for the corners.

Eric Giguere explained how his first race of the season went at Land of Legends Raceway, why he showed up a little bit late and why he can't race the track weekly.

Jimmy Grant told me why last Saturday night at Land of Legends Raceway was so special to him, evaluates how he is compared to the cars that finish in front of him and why he likes this track so much.

Brad Steinruck tells me and the crowd some details about his Street Stock as well as how you shift it, what adjustments he can make behind the wheel and who rides with him during every race.
