New on the Audio Page for today:

Ryan Susice talks about his two win season and how things went in our first Season in Review.
Gary Palone sets the record straight on next season at Paradise Speedway as well as some changes.

We are back today with more good stuff as we begin our Season in Review interviews and look towards the future at one of my all tie favorite short tracks. We will be back at it again today and we hope to able to track down some of the people who raced this past weekend.

Both my kids had sleepovers so the wife and I were able to do a few things without having to run the kids around as it seems we have been doing ever since school started. I’d like to tell you that we painted the town red and had a wild time but I can’t lie to you. But it was nice.

Now let’s chat more about what is new for today on the Audio Page starting with a look back at the season that was with a Western New York Modified racer with 24 years behind the wheel. Ryan Susice talks about his two win season and how things went in our first Season in Review. He also talks about the track he loves the most, remembers one expensive weekend and remembers racing at age five.

Gary Palone sets the record straight on next season at Paradise Speedway while taking a break from winterizing the track on Saturday and talks about some changes as well as his big plans for Labor Day Weekend. So now you know!

New on the Audio Page for today:

In my latest Doug’s Thoughts I ask for help on my 6 questions and talk NASCAR versus Formula 1.

On Friday I got started on something I have been urged to do for a long time by many, many people. I have more on that later as we get going and hopefully will remember Friday as a turning point for many reasons. No pats on the back yet though but still, “Yay!”

I’ll be starting Season in Review interviews this weekend and of course we’ll be chatting with some of the winners from this weekend starting tomorrow. But I need your help as I am stumped on the sixth of my six questions. You guys look forward to these and in the past I have gotten some great suggestions from you so please send me an email to doug@dougsdirtdiary.com or message me on Facebook.

Now let’s go into more detail on what is on the Audio Page as we ask for help and explore my ADHD brain and what it thinks about this weekend’s two big races in North America. In my latest Doug’s Thoughts I ask for help on the 6 questions for my Season in Review interviews which I will be starting today, tell you what big time racing now has in common with professional wrestling and talk NASCAR & Formula 1 both racing in Texas this weekend as well as which race more fans will be watching. Hint: It’s not even close!

Billy Pauch Jr. talks about racing tonight and tomorrow at Georgetown and next week in Charlotte.
Brett Deyo previews the 2 day Mid Atlantic Championship Weekend beginning tonight in Delaware.

We hope you all had a nice Halloween although Mother Nature did take a lot of the fun out of it with the rain and wind. Hey, if you want free candy you’ve got to earn it and the young ladies and Gentlemen earned their take yesterday. Nice job all!

We were off yesterday but will be at it again today as we’ll find some folks to speak with so you guys and gals can have new stuff to listen to tomorrow. If you have suggestions please pass them on as I am always looking to give you all what you want.

Now let’s talk more about what you can listen to on the Audio Page as we preview a big show starting tonight. Billy Pauch Jr. talks about racing tonight and tomorrow at Georgetown in the Mid Atlantic Championship, describes the two cars he will racing and getting out his own car next week in Charlotte.

New on the Audio Page for today:

Pete Stefanski talked about getting his Pro Stock ready for Charlotte as they hit the track tonight.
Garrison Krentz spoke about his hopes for Charlotte and how he did running Sportsman two nights.

I had a nice day on Wednesday as I headed west to have lunch with a friend to talk racing and catch up on our lives away from racing. I love local diners and have a great breakfast at 12:30 before heading home just in time to get my youngest daughter off the bus.

After that we got to work in the studio, bought Halloween candy at the store and brought Allie to her boxing class. She is so in shape now it is not even funny. Between that and the gym I’m sure she is stronger than me right now and probably a lot of you too. I could not be more proud.

Now let’s chat more about what we have for you today on the Audio Page featuring New York State racers that are hitting the track in Charlotte. Pete Stefanski talked about getting his Pro Stock ready for Charlotte as they hit the track tonight, remembers the last time he raced on the big track and what he is thinking about for 2020.

Garrison Krentz spoke about his hopes for Charlotte, why he got to town a few days early and how he did running his Sportsman at both Ransomville & Land of Legends.

New on the Audio Page for today:

David VanHorn talks about his 4th at New Egypt, this weekend at Georgetown and Vahlco Wheels.
Tyler Corcoran told me about his 4th place finish in a Sportsman at Orange County and Charlotte.

I had another great day as we saw the sun shine all day and a nice warm wind made sitting on the porch mandatory as we have to wonder how moan more days like that we’re gonna get before old man winter pushes us inside.

I only had a small window to get work done but thanks to my Facebook friends I was able to do a quick four in just about an hour. Thanks guys. It’s days like that where I fell so fortunate to have all of you as friends as I needed you yesterday as I need to be ahead so I don’t have to try to call anyone on Halloween.

Now let’s chat more about what we have for you today on the Audio Page starting with a driver who is going to race twice this weekend in two different cars. David VanHorn talks about his side by side race at New Egypt that resulted in a fourth place finish, looks ahead to racing twice this weekend at Georgetown and tells me what new at Vahlco Wheels. You can see them in November in Syracuse at the NE Racer’s Auction and Trade Show.

Tyler Corcoran told me about his 4th place finish in a Sportsman at Orange County, describes a mistake they made at that show last year that hurt their performance on the track and his hopes for Charlotte this weekend.

New on the Audio Page for today:

Chris Mackey talks about his win on Saturday at Utica Rome and how he fixed a handling issue.
Tony Veneziano reports on the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars as they raced once at Port Royal.

What a beautiful day it was on Monday huh? It was 65 and sunny here and we did a lot of things over the course of the day and had a great time.

I did more research on what I’m thinking about and had some great conversations as I kept the recorder off for the day. We’ll be back at it again as there are still some big shows out there although you’ll have to travel south to see them.

Now let’s chat more about what is new on the Audio Page for today beginning with a winner from the weekend. Chris Mackey talks about his Sportsman win on Saturday at Utica Rome, how he fixed a handling issue he had in the heat race and how he came from 12th to 1st in the feature.

Tony Veneziano reports on the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars as they raced once at Port Royal, talks about the tight point’s battle at the top and explains what would happen if it ended as a tie after Charlotte, which is a real possibility.

New on the Audio Page for today:

Wade Hendrickson talks about his third place finish at New Egypt and remembers his famous Z1 car.
Josh Coonradt told me how he won his second Pro Stock race in a row on Saturday at Utica Rome.

We got back up to speed after a day of scattered internet and phone outages here on Saturday. We have it all worked out and are now all set and moving forward. So rather than just sit home and do nothing I chatted with several people about my updated and still somewhat unsure vision for our future. Take advantage of the time to think right?

We got a lot of logistics figured out and will begin to move slowly forward on our plan this week. I actually chatted with more knowledgeable people on Sunday and the vision is coming into focus.

Now let’s chat about the two new conversations on the Audio Page that I recorded Sunday afternoon. Wade Hendrickson talks about his third place finish at New Egypt, explains why the car was so loose in the early laps and remembers his famous Z1 car as well as a comment a hall of famer said when he looked inside. Good stuff here!

Josh Coonradt told me how he won his second Pro Stock race in a row in Saturday’s 50 lapper at Utica Rome, why he changed his race line up after an early restart and describes the shop work he already has done as he looks to next season.
