Tony Markou not only surprised everyone at Super DIRT Week by winning the pole an coming from the back to fourth but he surprised us here as well taking the top spot. Gary Tomkins gets in for the third time while news from Shane Pecore and Ronnie Ford made the list. And our first Season in Review hits the top five with Dave Marcuccilli.

Tony Markou told me how he got back into racing this season after more than twenty years off and almost won the Pro Stock race at Super DIRT Week and later at Utica Rome Speedway. Tony Mark-who?    

Gary Tomkins walked the show in Syracuse and talked about how things went for him last season as well as how much there is to learn with all the suspension combinations out there today.    

Shane Pecore talks about his move up to a 358 for 2020, a problem he had at Super DIRT Week and remembers moving up to a 358, perhaps a little early, back in 2012.    

David Marcuccilli reviewed his 2 win season in 2019, how surprised he was to win a DIRTcar 358 Series race and talked about the need for a title sponsor for 2020. Wishing you all the best David!  

Ronnie Ford talked about how new clay changed the racing at Afton Motorsports Park, highlighted some of the action from 2019 and previewed some of what’s coming up in 2020 including a USAC race.

Ronnie Johnson explained why he chose to run at Canandaigua last weekend and ran down his plans.  
Mat Williamson talked about his win in the Billy Whittaker Cars 200 and his hopes for Brockville.   

No surprise on the Mike Maresca interview taking the number one spot here. If you forgot about it give it a listen and you’ll know why. Big surprise here was the Jay Fitzgerald crash audio which made it to number three. I guess people love to hear how drivers survive hard crashes. Glad he was okay!

Marc Johnson told me about some issues he had in his 10th place finish on Sunday at Super DIRT Week, some problems he had as he failed to qualify his 358 and his new spacious race shop. 

Jay Fitzgerald remembered his big crash from the Pro Stock race at Super DIRT Week, told me how both he and the car are doing now and recapped his racing background that began in the early 90’s. So glad you’re okay as that was a hard hit.    

Ronnie Johnson explained why he chose to race in Canandaigua last weekend, remembers coming to the track as a kid with his dad and ran down his late season plans.  

Mat Williamson talked about his win in the Billy Whittaker Cars 200, his fifth place in the Salute to the Troops 150 and his hopes for Brockville this weekend.

This was a nice surprise as someone I met earlier in the year became the number one interview for June. Nice job by Aleia Geisler huh? Jimmy Horton and Gary Tomkins make it in for the second time in 2019 while Billy Pauch Sr. and Willy Decker make their first appearance on the board for 2019.

Aleia Geisler tells me about her second career Modified win at Five Mile Point and her quick start in a Quarter Midget on dirt at age 10 and how good the racetrack was even after two rain delays.  

Gary Tomkins talked about the big block Modified he drove at Canandaigua this past Saturday, described an issue he had Friday night at Can Am and how tough it would be to come from the back against the Land of Legends regulars. 

Billy Pauch Sr. talks about his win at Bridgeport Speedway last Saturday, the unique #30 Modified he drives and comments on a picture showing his son and his grandson at the racetrack. Nice!
