New on the Audio Page for today:

Dylan Cecce talks about his multi-win season, his new car and what he is doing in the off season.
Tony Veneziano reports on Sprint Car racing from Australia and gives us some Tony Stewart news.

It sounds like today could be an adventurous day! A classic Nor’ Easter is coming up the coast and should provide us with some ice and snow. My girls are hoping for a snow day and they did all the things you are supposed to do to ensure one. Wearing pajamas inside out and of course the cotton ball under the pillow. We’ll find out soon if they get their wish.

I know a lot of you having plowing businesses so I know a lot of you are excited to go out and make some money today. I know of several of you who had a rough year because of the lack of snow last year so let’s hope you can make some much needed racing or home money today.

I am off today as usual as I have bowling tonight as well as some online racing. It’s my standard Tuesday off and I am looking forward to getting back on the lanes and hopefully having a good night.

Now let’s chat more about what we have for you on the Audio Page starting with a driver I have not chatted with in quite some time. Dylan Cecce talks about his multi-win season at multiple race tracks, the new car he will drive this coming season and what he is doing in the off season to stay sharp.

Tony Veneziano reports on Sprint Car racing from Australia as they run their biggest races of the year and gives us some Tony Stewart news.

New on the Audio Page for today:

Shane Pecore talks about his three championships in 2016 and his plans for the coming season.
Jim Olin previews Finger Lakes Speed World March 4-5 and this year’s theme Focus on Racing.

We start another work week today and I hope you all had a nice weekend and were able to get out and enjoy the spring like weather we had on Sunday. Enjoy it while you can as they say a big change is coming and soon.

I got some work done on Sunday as I watched football here in the home studio. How about those Falcons huh? I did not see that coming. As I write this up the Steelers/Patriots game is about to start.

I have some extra work to do today as I could not get ahold of as many people as usual with the games running late so I have lots to do today but already have a few things set up. If you’d like to join our conversation, just send me a message at doug@dougsdirtdiary.com.

Now let’s chat more about what we have on the Audio Page with a driver who enjoyed a great season in 2016. Shane Pecore talks about his three championships in 2016, his plans for the coming season and his race business that helps drivers who are new to the sport.

New on the Audio Page for today:

Dave Marcuccilli talks about his championship season and having discussions with other drivers.
Joe Garafolo recapped his rough year with a Mod Lite and talks about fuel injection versus carbs.

I had a good day on Saturday and did not have to make a ton of phone calls to get interviews. It was just one of those days when everything seemed to go right. Doesn’t always work like that.

I have another track champion up today as well as another racer who is hoping to get back to victory lane in 2017 after a tough season in 2016. That’s just the way it goes sometimes and hopefully it goes better as it is so much work just to get to the track to have things go badly is cruel. Yep, this can be a cruel sport at times.

I will be back at it again today and as usual I hope to get a lot done today. I’ll be in the studio in the afternoon and early evening as is my standard operating procedure on Sundays and if you want me to track down someone just say the word and I’ll do my best.

Now let’s chat more about what we have on the Audio Page today as we get ready for a big football Sunday. Dave Marcuccilli talks about his championship season in 2016, how much his fellow competitors upped their game in 2016 and having discussions with other drivers when things go wrong.

Joe Garafolo recapped his rough year with a Mod Lite at Brewerton Speedway, talks about fuel injection versus carbs and the small bump his Oswego business had during Super DIRT Week.

I will be in the studio this afternoon into early evening and then another buddy is coming over for some strat-o-matic baseball fun. It will be a great day and I can’t wait.

New on the Audio Page for today:

Billy Pauch Jr. talks about his rides for 2017, his holiday with family and why he is not a Jr.
Stacy Jackson spoke with Steve Ovens about what he has coming up for the new season.

I don’t know how it happened but that was the quickest cold I ever had. At least I am hoping that is what it was. I felt a little off Tuesday, very off on Wednesday but on Thursday I bounced back. Everyone else in the house has been sick so I don’t know how or if I have dodged this thing yet. We’ll have to see I guess.

I got back in the studio and will be very busy in there today as I hope to get a little ahead now that I am feeling much better. Don’t forget Motorsports 2017 starts today in Oaks, Pennsylvania so I know a lot of you are going down there. Expect to see some news break at this show and we’ll do our best to try to relay some of what comes out next weekend in our conversations next week.

New on the Audio Page for today:

Chris Daugherty tells Steve Ovens about his move to the 370 Modified division at Woodhull.
Tony Veneziano reports on Sprint Car racing from Australia and give us some driver news.

It had to happen I guess. When you live in a house where the three other family members have been sick it is inevitable that you’ll get sick too. I started feeling it when I woke up and it is starting to hit me now.

So it was the perfect time for Steve Ovens to send me a few interviews and boy, I could not be more thankful. Hopefully it will be a quick bout, will end soon and not result in a sinus infection like Allie now has. I’ll do what I have to and try my best to keep going. There just maybe a little more coughing in the interviews.

I have a nice article up on Vinnie Vitale’s move to 360 Sprint Cars online at www.syracuse.com/motorsports and in today’s edition of the Syracuse Post Standard. And today I will get back in the studio to make sure you have new stuff for tomorrow.

Now let’s talk more about what we have for you on the Audio Page for today starting with one from our good friend at Turn 5 Live which airs every Tuesday night from 7:30-9:30 p.m. on the Performance Motorsports Network. Chris Daugherty tells Steve Ovens about his move to the 370 Modified division at Woodhull, how it came together and how close he is to getting his cars ready for the season.

Tony Veneziano reports on Sprint Car racing from Australia, tells me about one of the country’s most storied tracks and give us some recent driver news.

Ryan Jordan talks about getting his big block Modified ready for Saturday nights at Fulton.
Steve Ovens gives us news on Woodhull, Outlaw, Freedom and his thoughts on IMCA sanctioning.

I enjoyed a nice day off on Tuesday and will be back at it again today. I have some writing to do and some interviews as well. Plus we’ll revisit Tony Veneziano for an update on last weekend’s racing in Australia. It will be a lot of fun and I hope you enjoy it.

I have been able to (knock on wood) avoid the cold that has been going   through my house and am feeling just fine. I see some of you are sick so we wish you all the best.

Excited that we are just a few weeks away from the Rolex 24 at Daytona as soon we will have a lot of racing to talk about from down south. Plus the DIRTcar Nationals are getting closer every day as well as teams work hard in their shops to get ready for the trip down south. We wish all of you the best as well.

Now let’s chat more about what we have for you today on the Audio Page as we start with a young man who is ready for a big change this season. Ryan Jordan talks about getting his big block Modified ready for Saturday nights at Fulton, why he is making the move and why his goals will be much different in 2017.
