New on the Audio Page for today:

Dave Marcuccilli talks about his move to a 358 Modified and what changed to make that happen.
Cody Manitta tells me about the Sportsman car they just purchased and his many years in a Microd.

I got a lot done on Sunday and was able to get ahead by a day on what should be a very busy week for me. Of course the Northeast Racer’s Auction & Trade Show is this coming weekend and I am very much looking forward to that. I’ll have more on that later this week.

Today we have a pair of drivers who are each moving up in class and each have had success in their previous form of racing and are hoping that success carries over to a successful 2019 season. I hope you like them both and we wish both of these drivers all the best in their new ventures.

I’ll be back in the studio and will do a talk about what we’ve learned these past few years thanks to our own Microd racing with the Kuleszo family and how that helped Allie and others in the club to do great things. I’ll have that up plus more tomorrow.

Now let’s chat more about what we have for you on the Audio Page for today starting with some news that just broke this past weekend. Dave Marcuccilli talks about his move to a 358 Modified for the 2019 race season, where he will race weekly and what changed to make the move possible.

New on the Audio Page for today:

Dave Axton talks about his 28 race season in a Sprint Car and what he is planning on for next year.
Ronnie Davis III remembered his early days in racing and his two win season in a 358 Modified.

We had fun last night as we headed out to Auburn as a family to see our friends with the Syracuse Microd Club and honor the drivers for their hard work and dedication this past season. I was honored to be a small part of the awards ceremony and I continue to be so impressed with the young racers, the parents and everyone else who keeps this whole thing going. We are so glad we met you and shared the last two seasons with you all. Thank you for having us.

We also got to see the Kuleszo’s and Allie got to thank them for all they did to make all this happen. They worked so hard and taught us so much. We are eternally in your debt and we will miss you so much. Hopefully we will still see them at the racetrack and maybe, just maybe Allie can race against Michele someday and they can have some fun out on the track together.

Now let’s chat more about what is new for today on the Audio Page as we begin with some conversations I had earlier in the day on Saturday. Dave Axton talks about his 28 race season in a Sprint Car, what gets worked on when a motor is freshened and what he is planning on for next year.

Tim Murphy talked about how he got started in racing and what he plans on doing next season.
Eddie White told me why he is semi-retired from racing and wonders what he should race next.

It was another cold and dreary day as we saw our first snow fall of the year. It did not stay on any of the roadways but it was on the cars, the grass and left us all with a sinking feeling knowing what is coming down the road. Ugh!

I’ll be on the road today as we’ll be at the Syracuse Microd Club banquet in Auburn. It will be fun to see everyone again including our car owners, the Kuleszos, as we have not seen them in forever. I can’t wait to see you all and can’t wait to have some run re-living the season tonight.

Now let’s chat more about what we have for you on the Audio Page for today starting with a shat I had while getting my snow tires mounted on the Mercury on Friday. Tim Murphy talked about how he got started in racing, what he plans on doing next season and what he will be selling at next weekend’s Northeast Racer’s Auction & Trade Show in Syracuse.

I’ll be doing some work today after the family day on Thursday and I can’t wait to get back in the studio chatting again and seeing what is going on with all of you. I’m missing seeing you all but know that the next two weekends will be lots of fun.

I had a nice day although it was a busy one with activities for the kids and running around being the number one thing that had to get done. I had to recruit dad too as they had many places to be.

Allie is still in basketball try-outs after making it through the first two days. There was no guarantee that she would make it to day three but here she is. Keep your fingers crossed as she hopes to make the JV team at a very, very big high school.

I’ll be in Auburn on Saturday helping out the with Syracuse Microd Club banquet and boy will I miss these dedicated people. The last two years racing with the Kuleszos has been amazing and we’ve learned so much. We now look ahead to the future and hope we can get back in the 75 car a few more times.

Max McLaughlin recaps his two races from Charlotte and looks forward to some indoor racing.
Demetrios Drellos tells me about his to 5 finish in Charlotte and the repair work done beforehand.

I had a relatively easy day on Tuesday as I did a little work in the afternoon before heading to the polls to do my civic duty. I went bowling after that as I try to find the shot on the new pattern this year and finished the night talking basketball with Allie.

Today I have some writing to do in the afternoon and then I’ll be out in Weedsport to be the guest host on Inside the Hall as we chat with Dave Farney and Dean Reynolds. Should be lots of fun. Stop by and see us as we go live at 8 p.m. tonight.

Tony Veneziano reports on the final World of Outlaw Sprint Cars races of the season at Charlotte.

I had a much better day on Monday as I was able to get a lot done and get Allie to her JV Girls Basketball try-outs. I even got some more work done when I got back from that and am now a little bit ahead. That’s a good place to be.

Tomorrow I have more good stuff for you as we will continue to re-hash this past weekend and talk about the season that was and how the racing was down in North Carolina. I have bowling tonight as I still try to figure out how to score on dry lane conditions. I watched the pros over the weekend and noticed a few things that should help.
