New on the Audio Page for today:

Alex Bergeron tells me how he parleyed being #1 at I-Racing into a real ride in a real 360 Sprinter.
Isabel Barron recaps her championship season in a kart and looks ahead to racing Sportsman next year.

Wow! What a nice day it was for us here in Central New York as the rain got out of here quickly and then the sun came out as the temps hit the mid 60’s. Yea, I’ll take that any day.

Still not quite sure if I’ll be starting the Best Of interviews tomorrow or not as I’ll see what today brings. If I can get a few things done in the studio I will otherwise we’ll lock ourselves in the room and get the top five interviews up and downloaded so we can enjoy our year in review. Either way we’ll have stuff for you guys tomorrow.

On the site today are a pair of young people who are set up to do some amazing things this coming season. Each of them have their own unique story and I hope you like them both.

Now let’s chat in more detail about those new conversations that are up and ready to listen to on the Audio Page right now. Alex Bergeron tells me how he parleyed being number 1 at I-Racing into getting into a real 360 Sprinter, how he did in two starts in a 305 this past season and runs down some of the video games he has played.

Isabel Barron recaps her championship season in a kart, looks ahead to racing Sportsman next year and tells me about her hot lap session at Woodhull Raceway with an experienced racer chatting in her ear.

New on the Audio Page for today:

Coleman Gulick tells me about the young IRacer he will put in his 360 Sprint Car next season.
Pete Bicknell updates us on availability of fire suppressions systems and DIRTcar at Merrittville.

It was nice not to be shivering cold at the bus stop with my youngest on Thursday and I hear today is going to be even better. They say some places here in New York may hit 60 degrees. But they also say flooding could be an issue so we’ll think good thoughts for all of you in the flood prone areas.

One more day of new stuff tomorrow and then we’ll go into Best Of 2018 mode and air the top five interviews from each month this past season. It helps me to do my season in review column and is fun to remember all the stuff that seemed like it took place so long ago. I hope you enjoy it.

Now let’s chat about what is new on the Audio Page for today starting with part one of a two part interview about a story I am looking forward to following in 2019. Coleman Gulick tells me about the young IRacer he will put in his 360 Sprint Car next season, how the came to meet and how much he is looking forward to see how things go. Meet that racer tomorrow!

Pete Bicknell updates us on availability of fire suppressions systems right now, reminds us about their pen house on January 12th and DIRTcar sanctioning for Modifieds at Merrittville. Nice chat you’ll enjoy!

Matt DeLorenzo talked about his season at Albany Saratoga and a chassis change he made in 2018.
Tony Veneziano tells me about some Sprint Car racing down under and some WoO news for 2019.

What a nice day it was on Wednesday. I got a lot of work done while Allie took advantage of the warmer weather to play some basketball outside with a friend. And it is only gonna get warmer the next few days too. I am totally down with that!

Still doing new stuff for a few days but will probably shut it down this weekend some time and see what the most popular interviews were for this past season. Here are always a few surprises in there and I can’t wait to get that done and take my end of the year vacation.
I’ll be in the studio again today hoping to load up on new stuff so if you have suggestions please fire them off to me so I can get them done before 2019 arrives.

Matt Smith recaps his weekend at the East Coast Indoor Dirt Nationals and his flip in the E-main.

I had a great day off on Tuesday as Allie and I went to the SU/Buffalo game with our good friend Andy. It is always fun going to the dome to a game regardless of how it went and it was fun to have a day off ahead of a busy end of the week for me.

I got ahead again in the studio so you get an extra bonus track today and am hoping to load up once again in the studio. As always I am looking for ideas so send them to me please as we only have a few more days of new stuff before we do our look back at 2018.

I am getting a lot done these last few days and that’s why I was able to add a bonus track today. We have up one person you probably and two more that you may not know so I hope you give all three a listen. And the Brett Altemose interview was a request from Billy Pauch Jr. so you know I got right on that.

I do so enjoy chatting with new people and the fact that they trust me enough to just come on means the world to me…it really does. So if I have not spoken to your favorite or if you are a driver and have never been on the website please message me at doug@dougsdirtdiary.com or shoot me a message on Facebook.

And I got a nice message from a listener that really made my day. I sit here alone in the studio and most of the time have no idea what some of you think about what we're doing here. It was so nice of David to send me a nice message and I really appreciate. Thnak you so much! It made my day.

Now let’s go into more detail on the new stuff you can listen to right now on the Audio Page as we wind down our new stuff for the year.
