New on the Audio Page for today:

Erick Rudolph told me about his two top five finishes in Allentown and his next few race starts.
Billy VanPelt and Isabel Barron talk about teaming up this year at Woodhull and describe their goals.

I had a nice easy day on Tuesday as I did a little writing for another project during the afternoon before heading out to the bowling alley later to begin the second half of our season. We are usually a second half team and have won it each of the last three years so we are hoping that history repeats itself.

I’ll be back in the studio again today and back writing again as well so be sure to check me out online as well. There is a pause this weekend for the most part before things heat up again the following weekend so I should be able to get a lot done.

Now let’s chat more about what we have for you on the Audio Page beginning with a racer who is coming off a nice weekend in Pennsylvania. Erick Rudolph told me about his second & fourth place finishes in Allentown this past weekend, how happy he was with the results and runs down his next few race starts that include more indoor shows as well as a trip to Florida.

Billy VanPelt and Isabel Barron talk about teaming up this year at Woodhull and describe their goals for the coming season and what each of them hopes to learn over the course of the year.

Scott Kreutter recapped his pair of top five finishes this past weekend indoors in Allentown, Pa.
Tony Veneziano reports on racing in Australia and New Zealand while giving us some driver news.

It was a cold one on Monday as we were all shivering at the bus stop in the morning. The day went smoothly, I was able to get some writing done and was able to get some work done in the studio afterwards.

Today we’re all about racing action from this past weekend and tomorrow we’ll visit with another top finisher from Allentown and meet a pair of drivers who are t eaming up this year at Woodhull Raceway. One with a ton of laps there and one with just a handful so come back for that and more.

Now let’s chat more about what we have for you today on the Audio Page starting with a driver who continues to do well at indoor racing. Scott Kreutter recapped his pair of top five finishes this past weekend indoors in Allentown, Pennsylvania, remembered his 5th place after a flat on Friday and his runner up finish with a late race pass on Saturday.

I’ll be doing some writing today for Syracuse.com as we’ll recap some of what happened this past weekend in the world of racing as we’ll be including some stuff from overseas as well as many of this countries best Sprint Car drivers were in Australia and New Zealand. We’ll have Tony on tomorrow to talk more about that.

Michael Parent talks about his last few seasons in a 358 Modified and why he stopped racing Sprints.
Jim Olin tells me about his weekly show Inside the Hall and previews Finger Lakes Speedworld.

I had a nice day on Saturday as I started out watching the SU men’s basketball team beat Notre Dame with Allie and yes, their win got our day off to a happy start. In between football games and basketball games I was able to get some work done and one of the chats I did is up today.

I’ll be in the studio for most of the day today and already have a few things set up and will be looking to do even more. I’ll get in the studio in the late afternoon and continue into early evening as that does seem to be the best time to try people on the phone. So be sure to come back tomorrow to see who we get.

In the latest Doug’s Thoughts I take a look at local racing and explain why I am so very optimistic.

I had a nice day on Friday as Allie and I shot some baskets in the driveway before heading out to the Liverpool Girls JV basketball team crush their opponent. Now we see why Allie came up short on making that team but she has made the unified team for Liverpool and will start to see actual game action within a few weeks. She is psyched and gonna try again next year.

I have a preview up today on the big race at AIS which does have free grandstand admission and is taking place on a day when we’re supposed to be over 40 degrees outside so get out and see some racing. I’ll be in the studio again today and looking to load up after SU hopefully beats Notre Dame in Indiana today at noon.
