New on the Audio Page for today:

Paul Kinney talks about the work he is doing in his race shop and his recovery from a back injury.
Brian Mady tells me about his move up to Modified and remembers his six win Sportsman season.

Sounds like we have just a few colder days left before spring gets going a little more next week with several days sporting 60 plus degree temperatures. It won’t be long guys and gals so we’ll deal with today and Friday knowing better days are indeed coming.

More good stuff today and tomorrow we’ll hear from Billy Pauch Jr. as he runs down his plans for this weekend and reacts to seeing his dad win a big one in New Jersey. And as always we are looking for requests so send them to me at doug@dougsdirtdiary.com or message me on Facebook.

Now let’s chat a little more about what we have for you today on the Audio Page beginning with a driver who is just about ready to hit the track. Paul Kinney talks about the work he is doing in his race shop to his pair of 360 Sprints, looks ahead to his first race on April 19th at Outlaw Speedway and why he missed some time last year with a back injury.

Brian Mady tells me about his move up to Modified and remembers his six win Sportsman season in 2018 as well as his trip south to run at North Florida Speedway in February.

Mike Maresca remembers his 8th place finish at Bridgeport and why a big block was a disadvantage.
Rocco Leone describes the work he needs to get done on his Sportsman and a problem he discovered.

I had a nice day off on Tuesday but still got some work done as I just can’t sit around and do nothing. Darned ADHD. But boy do we have some good stuff for you today as we visit with two drivers who raced this past weekend in New Jersey and another driver who has a lot of work to do.

You know me. We do our own thing here paying no attention whatsoever as to what everyone else is doing. If you wanna get to know the drivers that get it and see what makes them tick, this is the place to be. No trying to dig up dirt where it may not exist, just the drivers telling you firsthand what is going on in their racing lives. Yep, just what I want it to be!

Now let’s chat more about what is new on the Audio Page for today as we begin with the big winner from the first big race in New Jersey in 2019. Well that was quite the Aprils Fool’s Day joke Mother Nature pulled on us huh? Snow was on the ground for most of us in New York State and some had close to a foot of the white stuff. We got off fairly easy as we only had a few inches and it was melted off the driveway by just after lunch time. Whew!

I was very busy on Monday as lately that seems to be the best day to catch people. I have some news up today and will have lots more up tomorrow including another bonus clip. And we’re hoping to hit a pair of practices this weekend so I can get my first whiff of race fuel.

New on the Audio Page for today:

Mike Bowman updates me on the cars he is working on for both him and his wife to drive this season.
Tanner Harpell talks about Saturday’s practice at 5 Mile Point and looks ahead to Saturday’s opener.

I had a nice day on Sunday as I had a visit with an old friend, watched some great NCAA basketball and then got to work in the studio. I’ll be back at it again before our last night of bowling on Tuesday and I already have some cool things set up.

Allie has been taking advantage of her learner’s permit and has been driving a lot. She is catching on pretty fast and clearly the time racing a Microd here in Syracuse for two seasons has certainly made this a lot easier. Thank you Syracuse Microd and Quarter Midget Clubs as she has laps in all of them. You’ve made this next transition a lot easier.

Now let’s chat more about what we have for you on the Audio Page as we begin with a chat with one of the few drivers I know who can chat racing with his wife after they both race on the same night. Mike Bowman updates me on the cars he is working on for both him and his wife to drive this season at Thunder Mountain, explains why he switched to the track last season and what he did in the shop on Sunday.

Tanner Harpell talks about Saturday’s practice at 5 Mile Point Speedway, described how things went in their second practice of the season and looks ahead to this Saturday’s opener.

Matt Tanner tells me about the pair of Sprint Cars he is working on and what his plans are for 2019.
Lee Gill talks about the work being done at Evans Mills Raceway Park and what will race weekly.

It was another beautiful day on Saturday and all the rain they predicted stayed away for the most part. I got out again, did some walking and enjoyed a very nice day. Yay!

I did get some work done and will be working hard today as I need to load up here in the studio. I hope everything went well for those of you who either raced or practiced on Saturday and I hope the car did what it was supposed to and didn’t cost you any extra money. I know…I can always hope.

Now let’s chat more about what we have for you today on the Audio Page as we begin with a man who is just about ready to hit the track. Mike Senecal talks about getting back to racing after some time off and how he did weekly at Accord.
Caley Weese-Seymour tells us where we can see her car this week and how her 2018 race season went.

It was another beautiful day on Friday we got well into the 50’s today. And before the rain gets here today we’ll be over 60 degrees before a cool down hits us overnight. But we’re getting closer and closer to racing here in Central New York and I can’t wait.

Two good ones on the site today as we meet someone new and got re-aquainted with someone I have not spoken to in years. We’ll be back in the studio again today looking to load up so if I have not spoken with your favorite driver yet let me know and I’ll get it done for you.

Now let’s chat more about the new interviews on the Audio Page as both of today’s drivers have events taking place today that we hope you support. Caley Weese-Seymour tells us where we can see her Late Model on display this week, how her 2018 race season went and how different her work week is compared to her race weekends.

Danny Serrano previews the 60 Over Special Doug Hoffman Memorial this Saturday at Bridgeport.

58 degrees never seemed so warm here on Thursday as the weather just keeps getting better and better. I was out with a hoodie on and without a jacket and it felt great! Now let’s bring on 70 and 80 degree days and I will be smiling ear to ear.

We’ll be back in the studio today and we hope all of you planning on going to Bridgeport this weekend are ready to go and won’t be scrambling at the last minute. And I hope all of you who do race this weekend have an incident free race as you know somebody is gonna come close to or maybe even trash a car this weekend so be careful and I hope all that hard work this off season pays off.
