New on the Audio Page for today:

Ricky Breed remembers his stock car racing days and talks about his new job flagging at Fulton.
In the latest Doug’s Thoughts I wish all of you racing tonight and tomorrow all the best on the track.

Keep your fingers crossed for today and let’s hope Mother Nature is done with us for the weekend. I hope you all have a great time no matter where you go tonight and I hope the racing is good and safe as these early races always make me nervous.

I know you all have worked hard and I also know that all that hard work does not mean that everyone will have success tonight. It’s a long season and I hope it will be a great one for all of you. You guys work so hard it’s almost not fair that some of you are gonna wreck, some are gonna have a parts failure but some of you are going to start out with a run better than you thought too.

No matter what don’t let one night define your season. Do the best you can. Carry yourself with class and show respect to your fellow racers, the track you race at and the sport in general. And most of all…have fun.

Now let’s chat more about what we have for you on the Audio Page starting with a man many of you know from stock car racing in the 90’s and 2000’s. Ricky Breed remembers his stock car racing days, the time a mouse shared the spotlight with him in victory lane and talks about his new job flagging at Fulton.

In the latest Doug’s Thoughts I wish all of youracing tonight and tomorrow all the best on the track. Be safe tonight boys and girls and have fun!

New on the Audio Page for today:

Ryan Susice talks about his hopes for this weekend’s season openers at Ransomville and Merrittville.
Frank Nortz previews Saturday’s opener at Adirondack and next week’s big dirt Sportsman race.

The tracks close to me have already been rained out for today but there are still tracks out there that are optimistic about tonight. And our first person up today is hoping to get dirty and race at one of those tracks tonight.

I’ll be here in the studio and will be at Land of Legends Raceway tomorrow where I will be pit reporting and doing victory lanes. I am finally feeling better on day three of the antibiotics and am excited to finally get out now that that dull headache is gone. Yay! Finally! Race day is almost here for me. Again...yay!

Now let’s chat more about what is in the Audio Page for today starting with a man who, like a lot of us, can’t wait to get to the track and race. Ryan Susice talks about his hopes for this weekend’s season openers at Ransomville and Merrittville, describes what they can learn from spring smashers and his plans to race again at Outlaw on Tuesday.

Frank Nortz previews Saturday’s opener at Adirondack International, next week’s big dirt Sportsman race and talks about some big shows later in the season as well.

Jimmy Phelps talks about his only race so far in 2019 and previews Weedsport’s practice on Sunday.
Bobby Varin recaps his 4th place at Fonda last Saturday and talks about his 358 and Sprint Car plans.

I had a nice day on Wednesday as I got to celebrate my birthday with my family here at the house. It was a really nice day and I am happy to have another birthday. I’m not happy about the number associated with it but it’s better than the alternative right?

I’m hoping to get feeling better in the next few days as it usually take a few days fore the antibiotics to kick in. But I should be much better for the weekend as we are optimistic about both Saturday and Sunday. Let’s go racing…I hope.

Now let’s chat more abut what is on the Audio Page today starting with a look ahead to something happening this Sunday. Jimmy Phelps talks about his only race so far in 2019 and previews Weedsport Speedway’s practice this Sunday while looking ahead to their first race of the season on May 19th featuring the World of Outlaws.

Bobby Varin recaps his 4th place at the Fonda Speedway opener last Saturday, explains how his car was after he tightened up a little too much before the feature and talks about his 358 and Sprint Car plans as well.

New on the Audio Page for today:

Rocky Warner walks me through his Saturday at Fonda Speedway where he finished in sixth place.
Kyle DeMetro will be racing a 358 Modified this year and told me about his plans for this weekend.

I had a nice day off on Tuesday as I began my antibiotics to rid myself of a nagging sinus infection. I haven’t felt right for a few weeks now and it’s good to know there is a reason why. Usually by day three I’m doing much better and after checking with the doc on Monday, it has been almost four years since I have had one. Let’s hope this was just a fluke.

Nice thing is that I should be much better by Saturday when we are set to run the first race at Land of Legends Raceway. It will be fun to see you all on a race night and I’m just happy to be a small part of the show as of course, the racers are THE SHOW! My job is to get you more information to help you enjoy it a little more.

Now let’s chat more abut what is on the Audio Page today starting with a man who raced on a very cold day this past Saturday. Rocky Warner walks me through his Saturday at Fonda Speedway where he finished in sixth place, describes what happened during the course of the feature and runs down this weekend’s plans.

Kyle DeMetro will be racing a 358 Modified this year and told me about his plans for this weekend while thinking back to the last time he ran small blocks back in 2015.

Andrew Ferguson recapped his first race of the season and talked about his hopes for Brewerton.
Tony Veneziano reports on the World of Outlaw Sprint Cars as they raced at Lake Ozark Speedway.

It was another cold and rainy day on Monday and that trend is set to continue at least for a few more days anyway. The practice at Brewerton Speedway that was set for tonight was cancelled on Sunday and we are hoping things stay dry this week so we can get in their season opener on Friday…we’ll see!

Delaware International runs tonight as they host the Diamond State 50 and the driver at the top of our page today will be there tonight. I hope the weather down there is nicer and I hear temps will be in the 80’s so we hope things go well there tonight.

I had a nice day on Sunday as I was able to do some work in the studio and go with Allie over to the fairgrounds to see our friends in the Syracuse Microd Club get in their season opener. It was cold but the sun was out so it wasn’t too bad at all. I’m still trying to fight off a cold or something and will probably head to the doctor today to see if I need so antibiotics like my wife got a few days ago.

I got a lot done and that’s why you have three interviews to listen to today. And you’ll have three more tomorrow too. I’ll be working late tonight as Allie has a basketball game at dinner time but I will be sure to have more good stuff to listen to tomorrow.

Now let’s chat in more detail about what’s new on the Audio Page starting with a young man who just notched his fourth career Modified feature win. Ryan Krachun talks about his win at New Egypt, how he came from 10th to victory lane and his plans to race a lot in the 2019 season.

Lance Willix tells me how his Saturday was going at Airborne and his hopes for Utica Rome today.
John Waters talks about a big job he was doing on Saturday and the new Late Model for this season.

Well that was quite the day on Saturday. Snow, rain and cold led to multiple cancellations but Fonda, Airborne and Lebanon Valley all did get cars on the track. Kudos to everyone who stood up to the cold on Saturday, you are heartier than me as I was happy to stay home and warm inside.

After watching a little baseball I got to work in the studio after feeling like I was catching a cold on Friday. I’ve been feeling that way for about a week now but feel better today. My wife caught it but she is the only one in the house who is sick right now. Let’s hope it stays that way.

Now let’s chat more about today on the Audio Page starting with a chat with a veteran racer after his heat race and before the feature where he would start on the pole. Lance Willix tells me how his Sat urday was going at Airborne, described some changes he made for the feature and his hopes for Utica Rome’s season opener today.

John Waters talks about a big job he was doing on Saturday, describes what it is like working under water and the new Late Model he will race this season.
