New on the Audio Page for today:

Rob Yetman reviews his 2016 racing season that saw him win Super DIRT Week yet again.
Beau Ballard told me about his win at Five Mile Point in the final Empire State Series race.

I hope you all had a great Halloween as I know I did. I went with my youngest, Katie, here in our neighborhood while Allie went with a friend of hers and they stayed close as well. It was a lot of fun and our neighborhood has a lot of action on this holiday.

I will be off today although may get one done if I can get something this afternoon. In the can and up tomorrow are chats with Joey Ladouceur and Tony Veneziano as he offers his take on the final races of the year for the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series.

Now let’s chat more about what we have for you today on the Audio Page starting with a Season in Review interview. Rob Yetman reviews his 2016 racing season that saw him win Super DIRT Week for the fourth time in a row, his championship at Lebanon Valley and the moment his year turned around.

Beau Ballard told me about his win at Five Mile Point in the final Empire State Series race, how he let one slip away on the last lap at Rolling Wheels and his hopes to rectify that in a few weeks.

New on the Audio Page for today:

Marc Johnson reviews his championship season that saw his win four feature races.
Nick Kennedy talks about his Four Cylinder win on Saturday night at Five Mile Point Speedway.
Joe Marotta recaps the Race of Champions action from Oswego Speedway on Saturday.

Boy did I get a lot done on Sunday? With Halloween today and bowling on Tuesday I figured I needed to get at least six interviews done to get me through Wednesday and I got seven done. In the can now are chats with two Super DIRT Week winners, Saturday’s IMCA winner from Five Mile Point and our weekly World of Outlaws update so don’t miss a day.

I am also heavily into the Season in Review chats and we’ll have one of those up on Tuesday and Wednesday. And if you want to make a suggestion you can do so as always at doug@dougsdirtdiary.com.

I’m staying off facebook more as I am just so sick of everyone thinking they can change who their friends vote for in two weeks with their latest post. I’ve got news for you…you can’t so don’t even bother. I stopped a while ago myself and will only go there now to check messages or put up my bowling scored if I feel it is merited. Otherwise…I’ll wait to after November 8th.

Now let’s chat more about what we have for you on the Audio Page today starting with a Season in Review interview. Marc Johnson reviews his championship season that saw his win four feature races at his Friday home, which of those wins mean the most to him and wonders about a big block for 2017.

Nick Kennedy talks about his Four Cylinder win on Saturday night at Five Mile Point Speedway, how that win sets him up well for the season finale this Saturday and how a series of wrecks almost sidelined him.

Joe Marotta recaps the Race of Champions action from Oswego Speedway on Saturday, tells me about the race winners and looks ahead to the 38th Annual Parts Peddler show Nov 18,19 and 20th.

New on the Audio Page for today:

Corky Stockham previews the 38th Annual Parts Peddler Trade Show on Nov 18,19, 20th.
Rich Vleck previews the next Atomic Power Racing Hour from Fulton that begins airing this week.

We’re back today with more good stuff for you as our host company was able to figure out what the problem was Friday night and into Saturday morning as we had the new stuff up by 10:30 in the morning.

Yeah and write down that I was up in the morning as after I updated the site Rich Vleck and I voiced the new Atomic Power Racing Hour this time from Fulton Speedway. It was a great race that I know you will like and it begins airing on Time Warner Cable Sports in New York State this Tuesday.

Now I know some of you don’t have Time Warner and depending on where you live you might not even be able to get it so every one of our shows goes on You Tube immediately after it stops airing on TV so go to You Tube and search Atomic Power Racing Hour and you’ll get access to every episode we have done.

Now let’s chat more about what we have for you on the Audio Page starting with news on the big event at the New York State Fairgrounds in three weeks. Corky Stockham previews the 38th Annual Parts Peddler Trade Show on Nov 18,19, 20th and tells me who will be there and what fans and drivers can learn about the sport.

Rich Vleck previews the next Atomic Power Racing Hour from Fulton Speedway on Outlaw Weekend that begins airing this week and talks about his season at Genesee Speedway.

Kyle Rohner talks about his Five Mile Point championship and his hopes for today’s race.
Ray McClure gets ready for his final race today and talks about Five Mile Point Speedway.

Today is a big day as we have the final night of racing in Charlotte and Five Mile Point is running their second to last show of the season. I will be home today as we are voicing our last Atomic Power Racing Hour of the season as Rich Vleck will be stopping by. I do plan on being at Five Mile Point next weekend in what may be my final race of the season but we’ll have to see about that.

On the site today we have a few people who will be racing today in Kirkwood so enjoy those as you get ready to head out the door or get ready to watch some racing on TV. There is not a lot of racing left so get out an enjoy it while you can.

Ryan Susice reviews his 5 win season and tells me why a 2nd place was his best night overall.
Torrey Stoughtenger remembers his two win season and how some new friends kept him going.
Andrew Harpell previews this Saturday’s seven division show at Five Mile Point Speedway.

Fall is certainly here and the cold associated with it sure came about quickly. Once again we had a dusting of snow in the morning and from what I can see online we are fortunate that we haven’t had it stick yet.

Of course the focus for tonight will be the action in Charlotte at The World Finals and for those of you who are down there we wish you all the best in what for many of you will be your final race weekend of the season.

I started Season in Review interviews yesterday and that is what we have up for you today are the first two of those with a pair of drivers who have always made themselves available when I’ve needed them. Plus I have a preview of the big show at Five Mile Point this Saturday.

I will be back in the studio again today to do Season in Reviews and hopefully catch some of you who may be racing this weekend. If you are interested send me a message and we’ll chat today!

Torrey Stoughtenger remembers his two win season in a Novice Sportsman, how some new friends kept him going after a crash and what he learned about racing in his rookie season.

Andrew Harpell previews this Saturday’s seven division show at Five Mile Point Speedway that includes events from October 8th as well as some new races.

New on the Audio Page for today:

Krista Voda recaps the Sprint Cup Series race at Talladega and looks ahead to Martinsville.
Shane Pecore talks about his three championships and wonders about the W-16 engine.

It was a cold one on Wednesday as we actually woke up with a dusting of snow on the ground. It wasn’t cold enough to stick to the roadways but it was our first glimpse of the white stuff since last spring. I asked my youngest, who loves snow by the way, what she thought of it and she said, “not before Halloween.” So she was not happy.

I’ve got some more good stuff for you today including an update for all you NASCAR fans and a chat with a driver who is seriously considering moving up to a small block thanks to what he saw of the W-16 engine at Super DIRT Week.

If you missed it, go back to yesterday as we talk with chassis builder and Merrittville champion Pete Bicknell who knows a thing or two about the new spec engine. If you guys think we missed anything just send me a message and we’ll get back with Pete and get you more specifics.

Now let’s chat more about what we have for you on the Audio Page starting with a lady who gets to hang out with Kyle Petty and Dale Jarrett on a weekly basis. How cool is that? Krista Voda recaps the Sprint Cup Series race at Talladega and looks ahead to Martinsville while previewing the next round of The Chase.

Shane Pecore talks about his three championships that included a Super DIRTcar series title and wonders about the W-16 engine. If you missed my chat with Pete Bicknell go back to yesterday!

New on the Audio Page for today:

Jamie Mills talks about his win at Delaware and his Wednesday practice session.
Pete Bicknell tells me about the W-16 engine that Tim Fuller drove at Super DIRT Week.

I had a nice easy day on Tuesday as I bowled in the league and then got a little work done after that. We’ll be back in the studio today and may have another special guest if everything works out well.

This weekend is a big one in Charlotte with the World Finals on tap and it will be great to see how things go as they race at the track for the second weekend in a row. I think it’s great that a lot of new folks got to try the place out last weekend and from what I hear many teams are staying in Charlotte to see the sights and the race shops this week. Have fun guys!

Now let’s talk more about what we have on the Audio Page for today starting with a winning driver from this past weekend. Jamie Mills talks about his Modified win at Delaware on Saturday night, remembers the crash that sidelined him for three and a half months as well as what he learned during that time. Good one!

Pete Bicknell tells me about the W-16 engine that Tim Fuller drove at Super DIRT Week, goes over some of the specifics including cost and how soon he could have one at your race shop.
