New on the Audio Page for today:

Steve Poirier talks about picking up his 9th 360 win of the season last Saturday at Brockville Ontario.
Donnie Lawson tells me about his hopes for this weekend at Outlaw Speedway and his 360 engine.
Danny Creeden runs down his plans for Orange County and describes the different cars he’ll drive.

It was a cold and rainy day on Wednesday and they actually mentioned that awful winter style of precipitation in the forecast so it seems like some of us may have a bit of a surprise waiting for us at the bus stop today. Ugh!

I’ve got some good stuff up for you today and have some in the can for tomorrow as I am taking today off. My brother in-law is in town from California and I have not seen him in years. He is a big baseball fan like me so we hope to be able to watch some playoff games and catch up. Go Brewers!

Now let’s chat more about what we have for you on the Audio Page starting with a driver who finished off his season, like every driver hopes to do, with a victory. Steve Poirier talks about picking up his 9th 360 win of the season last Saturday in Brockville, how close the racing was after the track took ruber and what he is thinking about for 2019.

Donnie Lawson tells me about his hopes for this weekend at Outlaw Speedway, how a switch to a smaller 360 cubic inch engine has helped and why he likes to keep his car down low most of the time.

Danny Creeden runs down his plans for Orange County beginning tonight, explains why he likes small block racing so much and describes the different cars he’ll drive over the next four days.

I had a very productive day on Tuesday as I got a lot done and stayed ahead by a day at the same time. I even got enough done to put up an extra chat for you today.

Not sure what I am doing this weekend as it sounds like it could be pretty raw out there but I do have a chat with a driver running this weekend and we’ll follow it up with another tomorrow. Outlaw Speedway has their big season ender and using the word “big” is an understatement on this one.

I hope you guys all have fun this weekend and hope you get out to show your support. There are still some races to including Eastern States at Orange County so get out and smell the race fuel before we fire up our snowblowers.

Now let’s chat about what we have for you today on the Audio Page starting with a winner from last weekend. I was also able to put three in the can as I need to stay a day ahead this week with some family coming into town from Cali. My brother in law is coming to town and that’s gonna be fun as I can now watch game with someone who really knows his stuff. Let the baseball playoffs continue we say.

Zach Sobotka told me how he did in practice & time trials as he got his first laps in a dirt kart.

We had a nice time as we checked out the new Weedsport Kartway on Sunday. It was a beautiful summer day and the place was wonderful. We were impressed with the facility and the amount of karts in the pit area as I believe the number was 165.

We did have to leave early for a family issue but fortunately everything worked out there. We’ll be back as like I said both Allie and I were very impressed with what we saw. And the racing was intense. We’re glad we sat this one out as Allie is not ready for that kind of action just yet.

Now let’s chat more about what we have for you on the Audio Page as we begin with a racer we know from local Sportsman racing. Zach Sobotka offered up his thoughts as he got ready for his first kart race at the new kart track, recapped some of the smaller cars he has driven and how he found a ride for the event.

New on the Audio Page for today:

Jimmy Phelps previews today at Weedsport Kartway and talks about his sixth place on Friday night.
Lee Gill talks about purchasing Evans Mills Speedway and runs down some of what he’d like to do.
Jeremie Corcoran looks ahead to the Northeast Racers Auction, Tradeshow & Swap Meet Nov 16-17.

It was a cold and rainy day again in Central New York as lake effect rain once again made it just a miserable day to be outside. Here was drizzle on and off and it wasn’t even enough to show up on the radar but would have not been fun to race on a raw day like that.

I got some work done in the warm studio and will be with Allie today in Weedsport for some kart racing. It will be the inaugural event for the track and I am looking forward to seeing how this goes and looking forward to seeing some good racing too as I have never seen karts on dirt before. I know…how could that be? Well, we’ll fix that today.

Now let’s chat more about what we have for you on the Audio Page for today starting with a chat about the big race happening later today. Demetrios Drellos described the work he had to do in a last chance qualifier last Saturday at SDW.
Robby Knowles talks about his new job as Promoter at Airborne and shares some history at the track.

I don’t know how it was where you were on Friday but it was cold and rainy here at the home studio. Lake effect rain was all around our area and when I went to the bus stop in the morning with Katie it was drizzling at there but not 100 feet away at our house. We were just on the edge of it all day long.

As I wrote this up I am getting ready to take Allie up to the dome to see the SU men’s basketball team scrimmage. She is totally in basketball mode now and has been working hard to get ready for the JV girls tryouts in early November and can’t wait to see what this year’s team looks like. We may even hit Varsity Pizza just to give her the full SU experience.

Now let’s chat about what we have new for you on the Audio Page for today starting with my last two chats from Super DIRT Week. Both tracks run Friday and Saturday.

I have a lot of non-racing things to do on Saturday but will find time to get in the studio for you while Allie and I will be heading out Weedsport Kartway on Sunday to report on the action there. It’s going to be a fun weekend so we hope you are able to get out and check out some racing yourself.
