(12:34) Mike Gular talked about the great side by side battle he enjoyed with Doug Manmiller on his way to victory number one of the season Saturday night at the Grandview Speedway in Bechtelsville, Pennsylvania. He told me how he spun his tires in turn two on the last lap, how nice it was to win his first race ever in the month of April and shared some advice he received years ago from veteran driver Jeff Strunk.

(9:58) Mike Gular competed in his first big block race since 2005 this past Saturday at Big Diamond Raceway and told me all about his third place finish in the forty lap feature. He talked about how happy he was with the new powerplant they had in the car, where he will race this weekend and what he was getting ready to do on Sunday to relax a little after the excitement he enjoyed the night before. I hope the trout were biting Mike!

(10:55) Mike Gular tells me how he got off to a tough start to the season and still ended up with the Penn Can Speedway Modified Championship. He also talked about the work he was doing back at the shop to get ready to race this weekend, recapped his top five finish at the King of the Can a few weeks ago and ran down his late season schedule. He also told me about some things he has in the works for 2008 and his sons first days in kindergarten.

(2:39) Mike Gular made a nice late race pass to win qualifying heat number three in the Tuesday night ROC Modified show at the Penn Can Speedway. He told me how an adjustment he made during a lap one caution helped him change the characteristics of his car and why there are two things to be concerned about when you run seventy-five laps with alcohol in your fuel cell.

(2:42) Mike Gular came into the night with a two race winning streak in the Modified division at the Penn Can Speedway. He told me about some good advice he got from Jeff Strunk and why his Grandview car seems to be the way to go on Friday as well as Saturday. He did have a tough night as he did not finish in the top ten in the feature later on.

(8:43) Mike Gular told me about the nice weekend he just enjoyed as he won the Modified feature at Penn Can Speedwayand finished second the next night at Grandview. He also told me about the rough weeks he has been having of late and how it really set his confidence level back a little. He also talked about some work he had to do to the car before bringing it out later today and explained why he enjoyed a slice of cake Thursday night.

(11:03) Mike Gular tells me about the big crash he was involved in this past week at Big Diamond Raceway and how badly it damaged his Modified. Then he told me what they were going to have to do to fix it, explained what it takes to change a front clip and get the car ready to race again. Wrecks are part of the sport I guess, but they are much harder to take when you are our front!

(13:59) Mike Gular tells me all about his racing background and his past season at Penn Can Speedway and Grandview Speedway in Pennsylvania. I found out about his start at age seven and his jump from Quarter Midgets to 358 Modified's in 2000. He also told me how tough it is to qualify at Grandview and how many times he made it to the feature in his rookie season. Then he talked about his relationship with Modified driver Jeff Strunk and how valuable his information and coaching has been to his recent successes. Along the way, I found out about his car situation, the influence of his Dad and his four win season in 2006.
